Michael is a Professional Tennis Registry, PTR, National Clinician and Tester, United States Professional Tennis Association, USPTA, Elite Professional, and USTA High Performance Coach. Michael is a PTR certified professional in all PTR Pathways including Junior Development 10 and Under, Junior Development 11- 17, Junior Performance, Adult Development and Senior Development.

He was awarded the Arizona PTR Member of the Year Award in 2005 and 2015. In addition to coaching, Michael plays USTA sanctioned events & has played in USTA Pro Amateur Events and on legs of the ATP Tour.

With over 30 years of experience in the tennis industry, Michael has served as director of operations at nationally acclaimed, award winning tennis resorts receiving such distinctions as Tennis Magazine’s ‘One of the 50 Greatest U.S. Tennis Resorts’, Gentleman Quarterly’s ‘Top 25 Tennis Resorts in the U.S.’, and World Tennis’ 5 Star Award of Excellence’. He was Senior Staff Professional and Director of Tennis for World Renowned ‘Teacher of the Pros’ Dennis Van der Meer both on Hilton Head Island, SC and Lake Ozark, MO. While serving as Director of Tennis at Van der Meer Tennis University, Midwest, Lodge of the Four Seasons Racquet and Country Club, the facility was the recipient of the Missouri Valley Tennis Association’s Facility of the Year Award.

Michael is widely acknowledged for developing creative tennis instructional programs, adapting progressive teaching methods, providing fun learning environments, coordinating and conducting business briefings workshops, trainings, clinics and camps, fund-raisers, sanctioned and non-sanctioned tournaments, charity events, special events and generally promoting the great game of tennis.

From 1987-1990 Michael served as Director of Tennis at Van der Meer Tennis Centers on Hilton Head Island, SC and Lake Ozark, MO. In this capacity Michael worked directly with Dennis and Pat Van der Meer in all aspects of tennis instruction, including private and group lessons, adult clinics, senior clinics, team practices, exhibition matches, and high performance juniors with former ATP #50 singles player and Director of the VDM World Class Program, John Hill. As Director of VDM University, Midwest, Michael was responsible for management, program development, and efficient execution of all phases of operation of the award winning Lodge of the Four Seasons Racquet and Country Club.

Michael currently serves as Founder and Director of Professional Tennis Management Services, a tennis management company, that oversees tennis instructional programs, leagues, ladders, tournaments, corporate outings, socials, benefits, and other tennis related events in the Phoenix Metro Area. Michael offers his professional services at Val Vista Lakes Tennis and in the East Valley. Michael has been a contributing writer for two community newspapers and has written articles for TennisPro Magazine, Sun Tennis, and Arizona Tennis Living.
